Jewelled Exhibition at Te Papa

The brief: create an overall visual identity for the exhibition from entrance signage to brochure.

The solution: by incorporating the look of two of the most widely used materials - mother of pearl and the tortoise shell - into the Jewelled logotype, the scope and physical distance of the Pacific could be represented. To tie in with the visual theme of 'materials', large panels of enlargements of other materials, such as feathers and pounamu were placed to signal different sections within the exhibition.
